A DUNKESWELL man, who had his gun licence revoked by police, says he understands he is unlikely to be able to reapply for a new one before 2011.Robert Parker, 34, has been trying to get the licence reinstated (as previously reported in the Herald), but says he can't find a GP willing to sign his application form.Police seized three firearms from Mr Parker's address. They later returned an air rifle, but kept two shotguns."I'm quite angry, because it's ruined my life," said Mr Parker."I've lost work from farms. People used to rely on me for rabbiting, summer and winter."I've got rid of my ferrets, because there was no point keeping them."Mr Parker added: "I used to bring home pheasants and that, and they are expensive to buy.
