EAST Devon District Council is to consult with Honiton Town Council next month about its budget for 2011/12, following a complaint from former mayor Councillor Vernon Whitlock that correspondence is being received after the town authority has set its budget.
He told a recent policy committee meeting that the district council was asking the town to take on additional responsibilities too late.
District councillor Marion Olive reported the new move to the February meeting of Honiton Town Council last week.
