Big turnout for informal service at the Armada Beacon

Despite losing an hour’s sleep, after the clocks went forward, 22 people and several dogs took the steep climb to Shute Armada Beacon for the Easter Sunday service, at 7am.

Led, as usual by Brian Lavender, the “Reflection on the Empty Tomb” included readings, prayers and hymns during which “Jesus Christ is risen today” echoed down the Axe Valley, as the sun came up.

Pastor Darrell Holmes, the Kilmington Baptist Minister, gave the blessing before everyone departed for breakfast.
