A SMALL, but fighting fit, team is ready for the Starlight Challenge - a 50-mile triathlon that aims to raise money for a special children's charity.
At 8am on Saturday, September 19, the team will embark on a one-mile swim off Seaton beach, before running nine miles and then cycling 40 miles around East Devon.
The 12 athletes, many of whom are local police officers, will conclude the event with a hog roast and raffle at Axe Yacht Club.
Sponsorship is still being sought for the Starlight Foundation, which grants wishes for children with serious or life-threatening illnesses.
Donations can be made at NatWest branches in Axminster, Honiton, Seaton, Lyme Regis or Exeter or via www.justgiving.com/starlightchallenge
