Gale force winds are forecast for the weekend.

The Met Office has issued wind warnings across the UK as fears of Storm Hannah emerge.

East Devon is forecasted to be hit with 40mph winds only days after the end of Storm Gareth.

In Sidmouth, winds could reach as high as 50mph on Saturday while Exmouth could experience 46mph winds.

The Met Office’s yellow wind warning on Thursday spreads from Portsmouth to Manchester before travelling up to Hull and Newcastle on Friday.

The UK has already endured two storms in March with Storm Freya at the start of the month and Storm Gareth earlier this week.

That storm originated in the Atlantic before being picked up by a jet stream and eventually hit the UK and Republic of Ireland. The highest gust recorded was 80mph in Donegal, Northern Ireland.
