THE Tenant Services Authority (TSA) is the new regulator for affordable and social housing, taking over the regulatory powers of the Housing Corporation. They believe housing really matters, and that access to good quality housing improves lives. Their goal is to raise the standard of services for tenants. They are a champion for tenants - standing up for their interests and aspirations, and putting their needs first. The Authority wants landlords to work more closely with, and respond more quickly to, tenants - enabling them to have a say in the way their homes are managed. Bur first the TSA wants to hear from tenants themselves. So, they are holding a National Conversation with tenants, going out to meet them face-to-face and finding out from them what services they need and standards they expect. Then they can begin to develop a regulatory framework that puts tenants' priorities first.EDDC is supporting this national campaign. On Thursday, March 5, the council is holding a series of conversations across East Devon, at:Axminster 10.00 am to 12.00 noonHoniton 2.00 pm to 4.00 pmExmouth 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm If you would like to attend one of these events and take part in the national conversation, please contact EDDC's Tenant Participation Team on (01395) 517 453 to book your place.
