Eddie is new Lions' president

A HARDWORKING member of Honiton and District Lions Club has become its president.

A HARDWORKING member of Honiton and District Lions Club has become its president.Eddie Pescud succeeded Steve Guilbert during a dinner at Fishponds House Country Hotel, near Dunkeswell.The event followed a particularly successful year for the club, one in which no less than £10,000 was raised for good causes. Mr Guilbert's fundraising focussed on the needs of local youth groups but a healthy sum was also raised for Campaign SightFirst II, which aims to wipe out preventable blindness around the globe.Mr Pescud's chosen charity is Headway, although he had pledged to do more to raise money for Lions' chosen causes.
