Four candidates are standing in the General Election, on Thursday, June 8, for the Tiverton and Honiton constituency. Dr Matthew Wilson, Liberal Democrats

Dr Matthew Wilson was born in Dewsbury and brought up in the South West.

After graduating in 1994 and studying a PGCE at Rolle College, Exmouth, he taught maths in local secondary schools, witnessing the difference a good education makes to children’s prospects.

Matthew has an MSc in artificial intelligence and a PhD in robotics.

As an MP, he would seek to help local businesses thrive by exploiting these technologies which have applications right across industries from agriculture to tourism.

As your MP, Matthew would always stand up for what he believes to be best for the constituency.

The passionate way Matthew campaigned for Remain in the EU campaign illustrates the way in which he will stand up more generally for a range of issues that are important to the constituency. This passion and energy would be directed to stand up for you.
