Craft club rustles up a herd of elephants.

There was a herd of colourful elephants in town – those of the plastic kind, that is – at the June meeting of Honiton Craft Club.

Jean Donald showed members an innovative new way of re-using plastic milk bottles at a workshop last Wednesday at the Methodist Church Hall.

Armed with silver tissue paper, PVA glue and colourful ribbons and sequins the club set about making their own unique herd of elephants.

The plastic elephants can be used to stand pens and pencils or even flowers.

Honiton Craft Club’s next meeting - ‘Dyeing wool in the kitchen’ - will be held on Wednesday, August 28, at the Methodist Church Hall from 10am until noon.
