ELIVS tribute act Maurice Broadway, who lives near Honiton, is in the final 18 contenders for a national contest to find an Elvis sound-alike.Mr Broadway will perform at The Rendezvous Casino, Brighton, on March 15. If he wins the heat, he will appear in the contest's final, at the same venue, on April 19.Elvis Must Leave The Building is the title of the competition, which is rumoured to be the subject of a digital television channel series.Top prize is £5,000, a £500 booking at the casino and a trip to Europe.Mr Broadway has had a stage costume flown to Britain from Las Vegas especially for the contest."I'd love to sing Viva Las Vegas in the casino, but we don't get to chose our songs," he told the Herald."Whoever gets that one will be at a distinct advantage.
