Emergency services staging course for young drivers

YOUNG people are invited to a driver awareness event at the Lyme Regis Emergency Services Centre on Monday, July 6.

YOUNG people are invited to a driver awareness event at the Lyme Regis Emergency Services Centre on Monday, July 6.A road traffic accident will be simulated and casualties will be cut out with a running commentary.Police, ambulance and fire crew will attend. Police will talk about loud exhausts, seizure of vehicles for bad driving and the perception older people have of young drivers.PC Richard Winward said: "We are inviting all the young drivers to attend. It will not be a preaching session by the police, but advice will be offered and questions can be answered."Refreshments will be provided.
