This area is a popular tourist destination with many families attracted back year after year.

There is certainly plenty on offer for families to enjoy and one such attraction is The Exmouth Observation Wheel.

Following in the footsteps of more famous counterparts such as the London Eye and the Plymouth Eye, the Exmouth Wheel was a fixture on the seafront for the first time in 2017.

The 28-metre-high temporary landmark returned this year, following a successful first season.

As visitors enjoy the eight-minute ride, they get the chance to see Exmouth, the Exe estuary and out to sea from a unique viewpoint.

Speaking in 2017, East Devon district councillor Philip Skinner said: “The wheel signals a new era in visitor attractions in Exmouth that offers something new for all ages in a prominent seafront location. The wheel really has the wow factor as you approach Exmouth seafront and riding it will give you a fantastic view and new perspective over the town, the seafront, the estuary and across the English Channel.”

So, for those looking to add some extra interest to a trip to the golden sands along the seafront, the Exmouth Wheel offers a unique experience in East Devon.
