I was so sad to read your article on the death of Matthew Toates due to a seizure in his sleep and my thoughts are with his family.

Unfortunately, there is still a lot of ignorance surrounding epilepsy and I am very pleased that your article included details of how many people are affected by epilepsy.
It is very distressing to see someone having a seizure, especially when it is a member of your family. You feel completely helpless.
As Kerina said, their education, social and work life suffer. People can be so very thoughtless.
I am very sad for the family but I do hope this article makes your readers find out more about epilepsy. I wish the family all the best for Matthew's angel day.
