AN unnamed estate agent is planning to relocate to premises occupied by Conway Televisions, in New Street, town counci-llors have heard.A third party is seeking planning permission to change the use of the shop, saying it has become vacant due to the retirement of Malcolm Conway.Members of Honiton Town Council's planning committee were told at a meeting last week that an estate agency with an office is being proposed. In a supporting statement, Ashfords said the"tired-looking" front window would be brightened up."I'm all in favour of that," Councillor Sally Casson told the meeting. If given the green light, the relocation will mean a prime unit becoming available in Honiton, councillors were told.Councillor Alf Boom raised the issue of disabled access, pointing out the shop is fronted by steps."And they are slippery when wet, because they are tiles," said Councillor Casson. The committee had no objection to the change of use proposal.
