DEMAND for voluntary car transport in Honiton increased by 10 per cent in the first six months of 2008, according to TRIP Community Transport Association. The increase is on top of a 14 per cent rise in overall user numbers last year and a staggering 250 per cent increase in trips to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital."This growth in demand does give us cause for concern," said TRIP manager Neil Hurlock. "It is placing additional demands on our voluntary drivers. We do, occassionally, struggle to find sufficient numbers of drivers to meet demand."If you are interested in becoming a voluntary driver, call TRIP on (01404) 46529.
