MORE than 1,000 people have signed up to a Facebook campaign to save in-patient post-natal care at Honiton Community Hospital.
Gavin Watts, whose wife, Jade, is 17 weeks pregnant, set up the campaign after reading in this newspaper that the maternity ward, dubbed "The Honiton Hilton", is likely to be downgraded to a birthing unit from April 1.
Mr Watts has launched a petition and will be outside St Paul's Church, collecting signatures, on Saturday morning.
