Fashion show raises £1,130

LOCAL charities Hospiscare and Exeter Breast Care Unit are to benefit following a hugely successful fashion show, held in Honiton last Thursday.

LOCAL charities Hospiscare and Exeter Breast Care Unit are to benefit following a hugely successful fashion show, held in Honiton last Thursday.Organised by Linda Richards on behalf of Honiton Lions' Ladies, the show, staged at Honiton Motel, raised £1,130.Supported by Off The Peg, which sells High Street fashions direct to the public, the event was the second of its kind to be organised by Lions' Ladies in Honiton."It was an absolute sell-out," said Linda. "We sold all 135 tickets and lots of clothes were also sold on the night."It was our second fashion show and we would like to make it an annual event."Local models graced the catwalk wearing the latest fashions, entertaining the audience and having fun in the process - as our pictures show.Honiton Lions' Ladies would like to thank Livingston's jewellers, of Honiton. The High Street store acted as an outlet for ticket sales, providing a central point of contact for those interested in supporting the event.As well as fashion, the show enjoyed a further highlight - a huge raffle.
