There is plenty going on in the Honiton area.

First of all, a preliminary piece of info about something at St Paul’s in April! A ‘Come and Sing’ -Stainer’s Crucifixion - Saturday, April 16, from 11am onwards and culminating in a performance in the evening.

Further details from me, Liz Tirard, or via the Parish Office. Singers of all voices will be very welcome and, if you have a copy of the score, that would be marvellous. So, please watch for more details.

There is a special Eucharist service to mark Candlemass at St Michael and All Angels Church in Awliscombe on February 2 at 7.30pm. Would Team Choir members try to be there at 6.45pm for a practise, please?

St Paul’s Toddler Group welcome HALFF back for another Make and Munch session on the 3rd in the Crypt. Rose reiterates that everyone is welcome to come along and join this very friendly group. They meet in the Crypt every Thursday in term-time, between 10am and 11.30am.

The Meditative Craft Club meets on 1st, 3rd and, when applicable, 5th Friday of each month in the Chapel at St Paul’s. Do come along. Those who are knitters, needle people, lacemakers, spinners or practise any other crafts will be most welcome.

Saints Alive will meet in the Mackarness Hall at 9.30am on the 6th for fun, crafts and learning more about our faith.

On the 11th Prebendary Sue Roberts is arranging a time for meditation on the Blessed Sacrament during the morning, in the chapel at St Paul’s, from 10am until noon.

Sunday Celebration is on the 13th and Sunday Celebration Plus is on the 27th . These are short and very informal services at St Paul’s for the whole family, from 10.45 am to share in teas, coffees and biccies (!) and the services begin at 11.15am.

The Crandon Singers will be at St. Michael and All Angels, Awliscombe on Wednesday, February 16, at 7.30pm. A programme of music and readings for St Valentine’s Day. Tickets �6 per adult, �4 for a child and �15 for a family. Ring (01404) 42707 to book.

Honiton Garden Club meets in the Narthex at St Paul’s on the 17th, starting at 6.30pm.

And on the 19th there is a Burns Night supper and ceilidh from 6.30 for 7pm in the village hall, Combe Raleigh. Dancing from 9pm. Tickets are available from David or Gill on (01404) 45425, and cost �15.

The Team Evensong will be at Buckerell on Sunday, February 27, 6.30pm with a practice for the choir from 5.45pm, please.
