Feniton History Days

FENITON is to host its first ever history weekend. Taking place from September 12 to 14, the event will be staged in the village hall and St Andrew's Church, and will include an exhibition depicting Feniton past and present.

FENITON is to host its first ever history weekend.Taking place from September 12 to 14, the event will be staged in the village hall and St Andrew's Church, and will include an exhibition depicting Feniton past and present.The Battle of Fenny Bridges, history of the parish church and local agriculture, as well as plenty of photographs will form part of the display.Supporting the event will be members of the Devon Family History Society and the staff from the Devon Records Office.A cheese and wine evening will take place on September 12 and a Songs of Praise-style event the round off Feniton History Days on Sunday, September 14.Proceeds will benefit the church roof fund.If you have any old memories or photographs of Feniton, call (01404) 850699.
