Feniton History Days hailed a success

MORE than 500 people attended the Feniton History Days event, held over three days in the village hall and parish church, and described as a resounding success.

MORE than 500 people attended the Feniton History Days event, held over three days in the village hall and parish church, and described as a resounding success.Proceeds will benefit the church roof appeal.A spokesperson for the event told the Herald: "The weather was kind and people just flocked in over all three days, especially on Saturday with children enjoying quizzes and competitions, and parents drawn in by the history displays."Flaming Morris held up the traffic and enthralled crowds with dancing, and the WI members were busy keeping people topped up with refreshments throughout the event."The Reverend Cate Edmonds helped to launch the event by hosting a cheese and wine party and a Songs of Praise-style service rounded off the weekend.
