SEATON Town Council has agreed to consider events in the town for the Festival of British Archaeology this year.
Councillors voted in favour of the move, in principle, for activities such as Roman re-enactments, mosaics, walks and talks, in the summer months.
Cllr Claire Wise said: "I think it's an excellent idea, so long as we don't spend too much on it and it's advertised."
Councillors suggested the matter be discussed further in an amenities committee.
