Axminster firefighters will be offering to wash people’s cars to raise money for charity
Axminster firefighters will be going into action with their hoses on Saturday (June 8) - but not to tackle any blaze.
Members of the crew will be outside the town’s Tesco supermarket, between 9am and 1pm (later if necessary), offering to wash people’s cars.
They will be raising money for the firefighters’ charity and Diabetes UK.
People can go along to the supermarket car park and get their vehicles cleaned in return for a donation to the cause. There is no set fee.
