Tractor fire at Upottery

Crews from Honiton and Chard called to the scene

Firefighters from Honiton and Chard were called to a tractor fire near Upottery yesterday afternoon (Monday, May 13).

They found the vehicle was well alight in the middle of a field at Langbridge.

Firefighters used one jet and wore two breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots.

The Chard appliance shuttled water from a hydrant.
