Firefighters release A35 car crash victim

Two vehicle collision at Taunton Cross, just outside Axminster

Firefighters released a car crash victim after a two vehicle collision on the A35, outside Axminster, yesterday (Thursday, January 30).

The accident happened at Taunton Cross, near Shute, at around 2.20pm.

First reports indicated two people were trapped but on arrival fire crews found one had got free.

The single casualty was taken to hospital for treatment. Their condition is not known.
