Coastguards scrambled after boats run onto Broad Ledge at Lyme Regis
Coastguards went to the aid of a group of fishermen whose boats were blown onto rocks at Lyme Regis yesterday (Wednesday).
They were called to help at around 3.15pm after reports that three people in two kayaks and an inflatable appeared to be in difficulty at Broad Ledge.
Once on the scene rescue officers confirmed the people had been fishing when they were blown onto Broad Ledge but managed to assist themselves to shore safely.
