Four men and a woman captured after manhunt involving police helicopter in Axminster
Four men and a woman were arrested following a dramatic police chase involving the force helicopter in Axminster last week.
The incident began at 2.15pm on Tuesday, when officers were called to a property in Membury Road.
They were investigating allegations that a man, in his fifties, had been assaulted and the tyres on a Vauxhall Vectra had been slashed.
Following a widespread hunt by police across the town five people were arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including assault, public order offences and criminal damage. They remain in custody at Exeter Police Station.
The four men aged 27, 19,17 and 37 are from Liverpool and the woman, aged 26, is from Bridgewater.
