A disgusted resident took this photograph of household rubbish, which was left in a heap on Gittisham Common.
The pile partially blocked the entrance to a popular woodland walk.
A member of the public told the Herald he had personally challenged some fly tippers.
"They even dump rubbish in broad daylight," he said.
"One man's excuse was that he had cancer.

"There is a recycling centre not that far away and there is no excuse.
