Struggling families to benefit.
Churches in Honiton are getting together to start a food bank.
The project will be launched in the New Year.
The King’s Centre Food Bank will operate from the offices of Honiton Community Church at The King’s Centre, Lees Buildings.
Although the food bank itself will not open until mid-January, some churches have already started to collect food and were able to make up some tasty boxes of food to help 10 families who might otherwise be struggling over Christmas.
Further information about the food bank will appear in this newspaper in January.
