Spread the the word - “marmalade is marvelous!”

CHARITY workers in Axminster are helping to spread the word – about the marvels of marmalade.

The team at Health and Local Food for Families’ (HALFF) shop in South Street has invited award-winning preserve maker and food historian Maya Pieris to give a demonstration and tasting morning.

Maya is the founder and proprietor of Four Seasons preserves, which she recently relocated from Hertfordshire to Askerwell, West Dorset.

Those attending the demonstration will hear how marmalade can be traced backed to Ancient Greece and, although Maya’s own Lime and Cardamom marmalade is a ‘Great Taste Award’ winner, can be made from many other things other than citrus fruits.

The Marvelous Marmalade demonstration takes place on February 10, from 10.30am, at HALFF’s No Half Measures shop. No prior booking required..
