A FORMER Honiton man has appeared in court for failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.

Tobias James Snape, 23, pleaded guilty to breaching the order imposed by Central Devon Magistrates’ Court on June 16.

He had been ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work but the court heard he had failed to attend.

Snape, who gave his address as St Andrew’s House, Exmouth, was given the order for an assault.

The court heard he had mental health issues and may not have understood the terms of his order. The Mental Health Team had reported he was working at Newleaf in Exmouth and it was suggested he carry out unpaid work there.

The court ordered he carry out a total of 110 hours at Newleaf.
