A former manager of the Marine Theatre, in Lyme Regis, died in the early hours of Monday morning at his home in Alton, Hampshire.

Jim Dade, who would have been 91 next month, ran the theatre in the 1950s when variety companies featured in the resort during the summer season.

He was a widower whose wife, the former Sheila Cozens, of Lyme Regis, died a few years ago.
