Former minister mourned

OVER 200 people attended the funeral of Reverend Ralph Ravenhall, MA, a retired Methodist minister and former teacher at Axminster School.

OVER 200 people attended the funeral of Reverend Ralph Ravenhall, MA, a retired Methodist minister and former teacher at Axminster School.Mr Ravenhall, died on August 22. He was 74. The service was held at the Methodist Chapel, Colyton, on September 2. A past president of Seaton Bowls Club, Chaplain to Colyton British Legion and Chairman of Christians Together in Colyton, Ralph was said to have much loved the chapel and helped initiate recent renovations.The service was conducted by Reverend Marilyn Tricker, Superintendent Minister of the Sidmouth and Bridport Methodist Circuit, with contributions from Reverend Nicholas Edwards, Rector of the Colyton Benefice, Reverend John Haley and Dr Neville Barley of Colyton Methodist Church.
