A former vintage decor shop in Colyford is set to be transformed into a cycle shop and café.

A change-of-use application for the building, on Swan Hill Road, was green-lit by delegated powers.

Under the plans, the occupier will run the premises as Colyford Cycles, selling parts, accessories and bikes, and The Filling Station Café, which will sell hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, other cold food and confectionary.

The application, which was submitted by Mrs Amy Catley, said: “To the rear of the premises will be a bench seat with tables in front.

“A total of nine tables are proposed with approximately 36 seats and four bar stools for the coffee counter.

“The cycle area will consist of a cycle counter, parts, accessories, safety items and bikes all on display.

“Also the rear left of the premises is a room area which will become an office and workshop area.”
