THIS year's Lyme Regis fossil festival EVOLUTION ROCKS! will take place over the May Bank Holiday weekend.Visitors of all ages will have an opportunity to observe and learn, in an attempt to unearth the past and understand what it can tell us about the future.There will be fossil-hunting walks on the beach, collectors showing and discussing their finds, scientists analysing the past and looking at the future, artists, musicians and actors - all to stimulate the enquiring mind.Other exhibitors include the National Museum of Wales - with work of 19th century geologist Henry de la Beche, the British Antarctic Survey, the Isle of Wight Museum and the National Oceanography Centre's Research Vessel Callista, which will be moored in the Cobb.The festival looks at 200 million years of the earth's history and events will also be held at the neighbouring Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre.
