Fossil hunters in race against tide

Coastguards called to reports of people in danger of being stranded near Charmouth

Lyme Regis Coastguards were scrambled to the coast near Charmouth at around 7.30pm last night (Wednesday) to investigate reports of people possibly cut off by the tide.

On arrival they found that the group of fossil hunters had been able to extract themselves from the situation.
