SEATON residents are being offered free food and drink as part of a new church initiative.
FREEdom CAF: is being started by St Gregory's Church, in Colyford Road, on Saturday, September 19.
Visitors can attend the event at the church hall from 10.30am to 1.30pm.
The refreshments are being offered by members of the congregation as a gift to the community.
Vicar, Jeremy Trew, said: "At St Gregory's we want to show that our doors are open to everyone. Our buildings were built for the community, and not just those who gather on a Sunday morning. The church was the original community hall."
Church coordinator Mary Casey planned the caf. As well as refreshments, information will be available about other church activities and upcoming events.
The ancient church building will also be open, with someone available to guide visitors.
