The Axmouth Village Show luncheon for senior citizens was a grand success sparking hopes of it becoming an annual event.

The Axmouth Village Show luncheon for senior citizens was a grand success - sparking hopes of it becoming an annual event.The recent luncheon, held in Axmouth Village Hall, was hosted by the show committee, which provided all the food and entertainment to 54 pensioners for free.Norma Sweetland, committee member, said: "It went very well and I think everyone enjoyed the bingo as well, and the prizes were all donated. "We are hoping if we make enough money every year to hold it as a thank you."The next event of the year will be the much-anticipated 2008 village show, taking place on Saturday, July 26.Watch this space for further information.
