Top local talent will perform during event in St Paul’s Church.

As part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Honiton Town Council has organised an evening of entertainment.

The show, on Saturday, June 9, will feature a range of local entertainers.

The Jubilee Talent Show is being held in St Paul’s Church from 7pm to 9pm and is free-of-charge on production of a ticket.

Tickets are available from the town council, St Paul’s Church, Honiton Community Church, Honiton TIC and Allhallows Museum, and will also be available on the door subject to availability.

The council said in a statement: “The Rector and churchwardens of St Paul’s have very generously offered the venue of the church free-of-charge and all the entertainers are also giving their time for free, ensuring this event is open to everyone in the town.

“Tickets are therefore only being distributed to ensure that there is capacity in the church.”

The entertainment will include a quartet from Honiton Town Band, sketches by Honiton Players, a George Formby act by Emily Miller, sketches and songs by Honiton Pantomime Society, piano playing by Christine Toothill, music from Sweet Honi Soul Choir and violin playing by Paul Roberts, of Classic Sounds.

The Town Crier will be in attendance to make sure everything goes smoothly.
