From Beer Quarries to Brisbane Cathedral

Members of the Axe Valley Centre of The National Trust enjoyed an illustrated talk by Peter Dare entitled From Beer to Brisbane and Back.
He told the group of his family association with Beer, and how he became an apprentice at Beer Quarries. He also spoke about the many properties he had worked on locally, including Shute Barton and Exeter Cathedral. Peter also explained how he got to work on the cathedral in Brisbane.
