Fuel thief 'using stolen van'

THE DRIVER of a stolen vehicle is believed to be stealing fuel in the Axe Valley.

THE DRIVER of a stolen vehicle is believed to be stealing fuel in the Axe Valley.Police are seeking the driver of a blue Ford Transit van, registration AJO5 UEZ, who was seen in the area.Kilmington Service Station had £107 worth of diesel stolen on Saturday, September 13, at 5.45pm.Shortly after, there was an attempted theft at Tesco petrol station in Axminster - but a vigilant member of staff prevented authorisation of the pump.The driver was described as a white man, wearing a yellow, reflective work man's vest. The panel van was reported stolen from the Sheffield area on August 28, and there have been a number of incidents in East Devon, Dorset and Somerset.Police are circulating a description of the man in the three counties.
