People can take much needed supplies to the estate agents’ offices at Tanyards Court, Queen Street

A firm of Seaton estate agents has answered an SOS from the local foodbank to set up a collection point for much needed supplies this Christmas

Fulfords at Tanyards Court, in Queen Street, will be accepting donations over the next few weeks.

Items urgently required include sponge puddings, noodle and pasta snacks, potatoes (tins/packets), tinned fruit and vegetables), jams and spreads, cordials, toiletries, pasta sauce, biscuits, custard (carton or tin), sugar, rice pudding, tinned meat and long life fruit juice.

A spokeswoman at Fulfords said: “These items make a huge difference to people in the community who are in need of urgent support.

“We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we are supporting the Seaton foodbank who provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis.”
