THE clock at St Michael's Church in Lyme Regis is now working and once again chiming the hours and quarters. After nearly three months of silence, the mechanical problem with the auto-winder was repaired and refitted by an engineer last week.Churchwarden Tim Bacon said: "However, the repairs were expensive and will cost over 900, a sum the church can ill afford."Now that the clock has been mended, any donation towards the cost, no matter how small, will be much appreciated."The church has already received a donation of 100 and St Michael's Primary Church of England Primary School will be holding a new-to-you sale and coffee morning. The coffee morning will be held on Saturday, April 25, from 10am to 12pm.All welcome.
