Anger growing over Devon County Council plan to introduce on-street parking in High Street.
A FURTHER 800 people have signed a petition in Honiton opposing the introduction of on-street parking charges in High Street.
Devon County Council is proposing to introduce the charges and Councillor Stuart Hughes received a petition signed by over 1,000 people at a meeting of Honiton Town Council earlier this week.
The petition was organised by Honiton and District Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Colin Wright, the chamber’s chairman, told The Midweek Herald today (Wednesday) that, since then, a further 800 people have put their signatures to the petition.
