The multi-use games area (MUGA) at Honiton Leisure Centre has been revamped thanks to funding from England Netball.
The money was delivered by the group in conjunction with Sport England, East Devon District Council and LED Leisure Management Ltd.
The MUGA is used for tennis, netball, football and rugby training and was desperately in need of resurfacing.
Mark Williams, chief executive of East Devon District Council, said: “This is an excellent partnership initiative and we are pleased that there will be an improved facility for all players to enjoy.”
The result of the work is two new tennis courts, two new Netball courts and space for a multitude of other outdoor sports.
The new courts also benefit from new tennis nets and championship standard netball posts.
Andy Mackie, manager of Honiton Leisure Centre, said: “We are delighted with the outcome of the work.
“The courts will be in great demand from a range of clubs as well as many LED members. They are available for booking and are floodlit for evening use.
“LED Unlimited members are able to use the Tennis courts for free as part of their membership.”
Julie Spohr, chair of Honiton Netball League, added: “After many years of playing on a surface which was very tired and in need to updating, Honiton Netball League are very excited to have brand new courts.
“We are hoping they will help our league grow and encourage more people to return to netball, we have already seen our summer league 2017 entries increase by four teams. Thank you to everyone involved who have made this possible.”
