A GENEROUS Herald reader donated money to charity after being moved by an article last week.

A GENEROUS Herald reader donated money to charity after being moved by an article last week.Four members of the FORCE Cycle Challenge, including cancer survivor Tone Whitehurst, were returning home when a motorist put his hand out of a car window to give them £10. He told the cyclists he had read about their venture in the Herald and congratulated them for their efforts.Mr Whitehurst said: "This sort of thing really restores your faith in human nature. Whoever the driver was, we'd like to take the opportunity to thank him for this generous gesture.
