AXMINSTER Probus Club enjoyed a talk by former adventurer and Devon man George Williams.His tales included a stint in the Air Force, time enlisted as a psychiatric nurse at Broadmoor and a 5,000 mile journey starting in 1983 with his dog Jack.His adventures included sleeping on a golf course in Hastings, getting cut off by the tide in Norfolk and dodging RAF machine gunning during a practice on a beach in Lincolnshire.
