Giants to open summer fair

AFTER a wash out event last summer, the organisers of Honiton Primary School's summer fair are hoping for better weather next week.

AFTER a wash out event last summer, the organisers of Honiton Primary School's summer fair are hoping for better weather next week.The annual event will take place at the school from 3.30pm to 6pm on Friday, June 27.Sara Watkinson, secretary of the school's Parent, Teacher and Friends' Association, said: "We are hoping for better weather this year."We rely heavily on funds raised at the summer fair to support the school's extra-curricular events and clubs, especially the newly formed Earth Club, which teaches children about recycling, sustainable living and gardening."We also raise money for local charities, most recently the Exeter Leukaemia Fund, and we are pleased to have stalls from Brainwave, Otter Rotters and Devon Wildlife Trust attending."Two giants will open the fair and provide entertainment.
