Joe Gilson Mobility Scheme continues to help those in need.

A Honiton-based mobility scheme continues to help those in need to find their independence.

Andi Charge of Sidmouth, who has great difficulty walking, was the latest recipient of two mobility scooters as part of the Joe Gilson Mobility Scheme.

He was presented with a scooter for going around town and a fold-up one by the scheme’s founder Carol Gilson, which will allow him to be fully mobile wherever he goes.

Mr Charge and his wife said they are so grateful for the scooters which will give him his independance back and give him something to look forward to each day.

The mobility scooters are the 58th and 59th to be given away as part of the scheme.
