A Honiton man has been chosen to receive a mobility scooter as part of the Joe Gilson Mobility Scheme.
Barrie Wodsworth, of Joslin Road, Honiton, who suffers from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and emphysema was presented with 48th scooter by the scheme’s founder Carol Gilson.
The 67-year-old has difficulties walking and his wife Jackie says the scooter will give him “so much independence.
It was donated by Colin Patch, of Sidmouth, in memory of his late father Ray.
