More than 45 people attended a prize-giving ceremony for a young photographer competition organised by Honiton Camera Club.

The event was held at Sidbury Mill, with the winners announced from across East Devon.

Every entrant was presented with a certificate, rosette and photo mount.

With the competition subjects of “Wildlife” or “Pets”, the judges had a difficult task because there were many entries of a very high standard, both in the junior section (age 8-11) and among the seniors (age 12-16).

Prizes of £60, £40 and £20 were awarded to the first three winners in each section. The club would like to pass its thanks on to the generosity of sponsors from across East Devon.

Honiton Camera Club was established in September 1965. Today, it meets at the Methodist Church in Chapel Street on Friday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm from mid-September to the end of May
